My story
Hi, I'm Marina! I've been crocheting for over 20 years, and it all started with my grandmother. I grew up fascinated by her collection of doilies, blankets, and intricate crochet pieces. Watching her hands at work made me want to learn the craft for myself.
Over the years, I've built on those early lessons, exploring new techniques and ideas through online resources and my own experimentation. I love combining traditional skills with my own creative touch to make pieces that are both beautiful and sustainable.
Crochet has become more than a hobby. It's a way to create something meaningful, whether it's a piece to wear, a gift for someone special, or something that brings a little joy into everyday life.

Teaching & sharing
As a professor, with my colleagues & friends, we co-founded a school crochet club called Opleti, where we've turned creativity into community, making Christmas decorations, wreaths, yarn-bombing the schoolyard, and hosting Halloween and Valentine's workshops. Sharing this passion with students has been one of my favorite parts of teaching.
While my day job in education may not seem artistic, sharing crochet through workshops, guidance, and creative projects lets me connect with others and inspire mindfulness through making.
